Hypocrisy in the mainstream American news media is evident in the just outcry against the arrest and detention of Roxana Saberi by Iran, but more outrageous in the face of the defeaning silence of the mainstream media and US Government and UNITY: "Journalists of Color" in the face of journalists arrested, killed or expelled by Israel's rightwing government or by the US Military in Iraq.

Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn says that Illinois needs a fumigation to rid it of the corruption in the wake of the arraignment of former Gov. Rod Blagojevich. Maybe Quinn, Mayor Daley, House Speaker Mike Madigan and County Board President Todd Stroger should look in a mirror.

Obama doesn't bow far enough to reject haters in American society. President Obama is helping to restore America's greatness, rejecting the policies of the American conservative fanatics and haters who have dominated this country and pushed our soldiers into unjust wars and demagoguery. In his meeting with Saudi King Abdullah, President Obama did not bow far enough, but in bowing, as ALL American presidents have done with Japanese and the Queen of England, Obama is defining a new America where freedom, justice and principles have been restored. Israel Commits war crimes? Where are the witnesses? Israel brushed off charges and testimony by its own soldiers as unsubstantiated, after the soldiers were vilified, threatened and denounced as anti-Semites supporting the enemy. They all backed down from the charges, the way the Israeli army backed down from Lebanon, and Hezbollah, twice.

FOCUS: MIDDLE EAST
Israeli soldiers report, according to Israeli news media, that they were encouraged to kill civilians including old women, women and children, during the brutal assault on the Gaza Strip.

The soldiers are sporting t-shirts with images of pregnant Arab women with bulls-eyes painted over their enlarged bellies. But Israel's government, to play the reports down, are denying that soldiers ever engaged in war crimes. The tragedy is the refusal of the Israeli people and their supporters to recognize that while some Palestinian groups engaged in terrorism and violence, some Israeli groups and soldiers also engage in terrorism and war crimes, but the Israelis refuse to acknowledge their own criminal acts and prefer to pretend they have done nothing.
