Ikhras loves the Syrian Dictatorship: Just read their "Twits"

Ikhras haters Thabit al-Arabi and Qassem Lufti, who have a life-long difficulty with the English language, moderation and accuracy, have laid out (or lied out) a long list of reasons why they think Syrian Dictator Bashar al-Assad shouldn't be attacked and that the pro-Democracy protesters should be blamed and criticized.

But they know that their support for the Syrian government, which has murdered more than 4,000 innocent civilians including hundreds of children, is not an easy one to argue. It makes them look like hypocrites as they assault and slander an array of people including. Their targets include star comedians Dean Obeidallah and Maysoon Zayid (who host the annual New York Arab Comedy Festival), and writers Hussein Ibish, Ray Hanania and Mona eltahawy. These are but a few of the scores of people that Ikhras brutalizes in their online verbal assaults as if they were the Syrian military police attacking civilians seeking freedom in Homs. (I can just see the Ikhras goofs cheering as new statistics surface about innocent Syrian civilians being killed by the Syrian Government that they consistently defend.)

All you have to do is read their Twitter posts, posts that Qassem and Thabet recently referred to as "Twits" in an email. Maybe that's because they are the "twits."

Hussein Ibish has penned a scathing expose of who these sad refugees from truth really are.

But here are some of their most recent Tweets (Yes Thabet and Qassem, they're called Tweets, not Twits!) that demonstrate and prove their loyalty to the Syrian Dictatorship and why they pick and chose their words carefully to pretend as if they care about, say, the Palestinian refugees (they don't) or the people of Egypt (they don't) or ADC (which upsets them the most because ADC fights for the rights of victims of discrimination including those bullied by cowards like Qassem and Thabet and the Ikhras gaggle of online bullies).

Read how they carefully tiptoe and pretend they do not support the brutality of the Syrian regime, and then use that argument as a means of attacking others. The way they exploit the suffering of the Palestinians as a means of saying, hey, what's happening in Syria isn't that important because Bush is a liar and a murderer, too.

Their theme here is right out of the Little Red Book published by Bashar al-Assad and the Syrian Baath Party dictators.

CNN Senior editor Octavia Nasr is fired because she expressed condolences on the death of Lebanese cleric Ayatollah Fadlallah. Fadlallah was a founder of Hezbollah, an avowed enemy of Israel and denounced as a terrorist organization by the United States. But Hezbollah was founded in 1980 in part by Fadlallah in response to Israel's vicious military assault and occupation of Lebanon. Later, Fadlallah distanced himself from some of Hezbollah;s policies, but was a leader in championing the rights of women, calling for the abolition of laws and practices called "Honor Killings" where the murder of women accused or rumored to have brought shame to their families would be hailed as a male right with the perpetrators not serving any time in prison. The outcry against Nasr originated with American Jewish organizations, such as the Simon Weisenthal Center and the Anti-Defamation League (the latter saying it accepted Nasr's apology for using Twitter, which restricts postings to 140 characters (or 35 words), to express a feeling that required more context. Israel launched a massive assault against a flotilla of boats seeking to break the Israeli siege on the Gaza Strip and bring food and medicine to the 1.5 million starving Palestinians, and Israel's response from Danny Ayalon, the Deputy Foreign Minister, is Israel was defending itself. It is an amazing demonstration of clever Public Relations spin. Israeli soldiers who stormed the boats with guns and with surprise in international waters, claimed that when they landed on the boat and surprised the passengers with their guns and full battle gear, the civilians on the boat tried to defend themselves, which in Israel's eyes is an act of aggression. Israel insists that Jerusalem is now an Open City as a city occupied by the Israeli military and surrounded by a concrete wall and barbed wire, but since it has come under Israeli occupation since 1967, Jerusalem has become the most closed city in the world. Billions of people, mainly Arabs and Muslims and anyone who is a critic of Israel's brutal occupation and rejection of peace, are banned by the Israeli government from entering the city. Even Palestinians born in the city, Christian and Muslim, are denied the right to pray at their religious shrines and only armed settlers, who train their children to kill Arabs, are allowed free access to the Holy City.

One man's terror street is another man's freedom fighter street. Israelis are angry because the Palestinians in Ramallah have named a street after an alleged terrorist who fought against Israel's brutal military occupation and oppression, Yahya Aiyash. Of course, Israelis are hypocrites when it comes to terrorism and are the biggest hypocrites of all when defending their own leaders who used terrorism like the arch terrorist of all time Menachem Begin who murdered 100 civilians in cold blood in 1947 at Deir Yassin to make a point. And then there was his terrorist pal Yitzhak Shamir, another cold blooded terrorist killer, and his disciple Ariel Sharon, another cold blooded terrorist murderer. And all of them have streets named in their honor all over Israel. I guess it is okay when the terrorists are Israeli.

Extremists on Israel's far right have attacked the New Israel Fund for its ties to pro-israeli organizations that have supported investigating the war crimes charges by by the United Nation's special investigator Richard Goldstone in his report, the Goldstone Report. The extremists have used Nazi-era images to demonize the NIF which supports peace, two-states and an end to violence, and the NIF has come under increasing attacks by Israeli society. The biggest complaint is not that the Goldstone Report's conclusions that some in Israel's military intentionally murdered Palestinian women and children during the brutal and oppressive Israeli military assault on the Gaza Strip last year, but rather that they supported the charges that the war crimes should be investigated.

Israel's Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon, following in the racist practices of his boss Avigdor Lieberman, used his usual style of ridicule and shame to embarrass the Ambassador of Turkey, a nation that has been a close military ally of Israels, the only in the region.

Turkey responded by withdrawing their ambassador, protesting Israel's brutal treatment of the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip -- their first strong protest about the carnage in Gaza in over a year, and questioned Israel's policies towards non-Jews.

Lierbeman refused to apologize but moderate elements in the Israeli Government recognized the mistake and immediately flew to Turkey to apologize. But the damn is broken by the damned. And it won't be fixed too soon.

Maybe Avigdor Lieberman is a good thing after all.

Who started the war in the Gaza Strip? A ceasefire was arranged by Egypt between Hamas and Israel in June 2008. On Nov. 4, 2008, Israel ground forces attacked Palestinians and destroyed tunnels they claimed were being used to prepare for the kidnapping of an Israeli soldier. (No proof, just their press releases, of course.) Nov. 5, Hamas responds and attacks the Israeli outpost where the Israeli assault started. Israel responds with air assault. Israel air assaults continue through Dec. 19 killing 20 Palestinians in t he period. Hamas declares cease-fire, that they had hoped to renew, ended. Dec. 27, 2008, Israel launches massive air strikes against civilian centers in the Gaza Strip killing 390 by this writing, mostly civilians.

John McCain won't answer to his father's misconduct during the June 8, 1967 attack by Israel against the U.S.S. Liberty which killed 34 American soldiers. Admiral McCain, Sen. John mcCain's father, intervened and prevented American forces from protecting the ship when it was attacked. In a second attack, the Israeli torpedo boats killed 24 of the 34 Americans who died on that ship, and that second attack could have been prevented if Admiral McCain had intervened. But who cares about American soldiers when the issue is tied to America's relationship to the government of Israel?

Senator McCain also endorsed a propaganda book written by a pro-Israeli fanatic who claimed -- contrary to all evidence and the statements of witnesses and historical records -- that the Israeli attack was an mistake and not intentional.

Village of Orland Park says that it did not cut ANY services in bridging a $4.8 million budget shortfall -- right! -- and the media and village say that the Property Tax Rebate in the village is "intact" -- but it is changed dramatically and residents are being cheated out of 40 percent of the rebate ... which will be cut from $200 to $133. Most residents received more than $200 and that means you will get even more taken back by the village, which is a backdoor property tax increase.

You can't claim they saved you money and cut taxes by rebating, and then claim it's not an increase when they trim back the rebate. Too bad the local media doesn't open it's eyes more and see the truth of the shell game McLaughlin and the Village Board are playing. But residents all over Orland Park DO see the shell game and are upset about it.
