The New Frontier -- and threat of an American Nightmare

Rightwing hate-mongering and hate-speech can change hopes for "The New Frontier" to the New American Nightmare.

Reports say that the FBI has captured a handful of extremists who planned to assassinate Barack Obama. The hatemongering from the extreme right like Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity, Don Wade (well, Don Wade isn't too bad -- but I'm afraid his blood pressure is getting too high and he needs to chill) and others are feeding into the extremists and creating an environment where a tragedy threatens.

McCain on the USS Liberty -- Why not answer John?

John McCain won't answer to his father's misconduct during the June 8, 1967 attack by Israel against the U.S.S. Liberty which killed 34 American soldiers. Admiral McCain, Sen. John mcCain's father, intervened and prevented American forces from protecting the ship when it was attacked. In a second attack, the Israeli torpedo boats killed 24 of the 34 Americans who died on that ship, and that second attack could have been prevented if Admiral McCain had intervened. But who cares about American soldiers when the issue is tied to America's relationship to the government of Israel?

Senator McCain also endorsed a propaganda book written by a pro-Israeli fanatic who claimed -- contrary to all evidence and the statements of witnesses and historical records -- that the Israeli attack was an mistake and not intentional.

Senator McCain, you owe the families of those American soldiers who were killed by Israel on June 8, 1967, and the survivors and their families, an explanation. Stop trying to protect your father.
